American Medical Academy (AMA) has designed short-term study tours (two weeks) and long-term study tours (four to six week) programs in USA for Medicine, Nursing, Business, IT and Hospitality Management for:
• Students from institutions/universities outside the US;
• Healthcare organizations and businesses;
• Professional associations
The programs are offered in partnerships with AMA’s partner healthcare organizations and higher education institutions.
The training programs are offered in various AMA centers located throughout the United States. Foreign partner institutions/organizations choose specific:
• Geographic location, region and the city (cities).

AMA study tours are unique, one-of-a-kind experience. Study tours are planned according to the need(s) of the candidates, visiting faculty’s requirement, and sponsor organization desires. Our programs are tailor-made according to the needs of the participants and their organization. AMA programs can be attended with or without faulty members, or other sponsoring personnel. AMA’s provides life transforming altering positive experience for participants. Our unique programs educational, stimulating and affordable.
Participants get experience in their chosen field and industry; within the context of Medicine, Nursing, Healthcare Management, Business, IT and Hospitality Management. Their experience increases their professional skills and knowledge, as well as, enhancing their global acumen.
AMA’s study tours are your opportunity to live, study, and/or acquire training in USA, while often earning college credit, as our programs are offered through AMA’s partner institutions.
AMA offers our programs throughout year. Our experienced professionals’ open doors for a wide-variety of course subjects, training programs, experiential learning and site visits. We offer internships, service learning placements, field trips, and more in the field of Medicine, Nursing, Healthcare, Business, IT and Hospitality Industries. These programs are also designed to immerse you into the local culture. Furthermore, while doing the study tour in USA, the North America, and even the world will be your classroom because these study tour programs are designed to have such a profound experience for the participants.

AMA study tour programs allow you to choose specific courses based on your interests, field of study and profession. Medical students (second year to the final year, medical graduates, and junior doctors who are involved in their specialization studies) may all participate in AMA’s study tour programs. During the study tour program, candidates might visit a medical university, visit one or two teaching hospitals, and attend training and seminars, and participate in clinical observation through shadowing staff at US hospitals. Further specific details will be worked out according to a participant’s tour needs.
Limited Observatory and Training Program for Medical Students:
AMA offers observation and limited
practical experience at US hospitals, medical universities, and clinics for four- to six-week periods,
offered to advanced medical students. The same program also offers a study tour component, while
faculty members can also participate along with medical students. All relevant details can be finalized
with participants and with the visiting faculty.
These study tours allow the candidates the opportunity to gain the experience and knowledge about the US healthcare system, medical treatment methods, patient evaluation, etc. Participants may also visit one or more US medical universities and teaching hospitals, along with attending seminars and lectures.
Note: AMA can arrange individual, custom training packages which include experience in teaching
hospitals, for four week and longer periods.

Depending on participant and organization sponsor needs and the length of the study tour package, each program (as a standard package) can include up to four cities. Other training locations are arranged as needed. If requested, the tour can include cities in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Diploma program candidates (two or three years nursing programs), Bachelor and Master’s Degree Nursing students (first year to the final year), nurse graduates and those candidates who are currently doing their specialization studies are eligible to participle in AMA’s our study tour program.
During the study tour program, candidates visit one or two nursing colleges/university, visit one or two teaching hospitals, attend seminars, have clinical observation, and receive instruction local hospitals. Specific details are determined by visiting faculty, instructors, sponsoring organizations, AMA.

Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral degree candidates in healthcare management, and healthcare executives and administers are eligible to participate in AMA’s study tour program. Participants visit one or two colleges/university, visit 2-3 exemplary healthcare facilities, attend training and/or seminars. Specific details are determined by visiting faculty and sponsoring organizations, per their needs.

Participants visit one or two colleges/universities, several companies, including, and attend training and/or seminars. Specific details are finalized with visiting faculty and/or sponsors, and AMA.
This program includes sites in Chicago and Peoria (Illinois); Dallas (Texas); Saint Louis (Missouri); New York (New York); Atlanta (Georgia); Miami (Florida); Indianapolis (Indiana); Detroit (Michigan); Salt Lake City (Utah); Denver (Colorado); Phoenix (Arizona); Las Vegas (Nevada); Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco (California); Portland (Oregon); and Seattle (Washington).

• Our study tour training programs are offered throughout the year: January-March, April-June, July-
September and October-December terms are available.
• Students and faculty, business teams, and professional association members each participate unique
study tours; they are not combined with other disciplines.
• Students and faculty from different levels and from universities can participate in the same tours.
For example, business faculty and students in Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral level candidates can combine as one group.
• AMA study tours are unique practical training and immersion experience programs. They provide participants a unique perspective and understanding of business and education in the USA while obtaining first-hand experiential professional knowledge, understanding and skill development in the participant’s chosen field and industry.
• Furthermore, participants gain direct, real-time experience and understanding in cultural and social issues found in American business and professions.
AMA’s long-term study tour programs allow participants the opportunity to take classes/training with US University faculty or organizational trainers.
Upon completion, all participants receive certifications of completion from Midstate College and/or from the training organizations. Students can get course credit their university/institution.
During the study tour training period, participants take classes from their own faculty/trainers at Midstate’s campus in Peoria, Illinois, and/or AMA’s organization partners’ facility. Additionally, participants receive training from US instructors and/or industry practitioners. This mixture of training gives participants a true US industry and cultural experience.
Participants visit companies, universities also spend time for sightseeing and visit cultural centers, and local points of interested based on participant needs (they can visit various cultural organizations, art centers, historical sites, and major business centers, museums and other key USA locations). For each stop (city) on this study tour training, participants will receive insight into the cultural, social, historic, political and the business environments of USA.
Participating Institution/University students can earn course credits. However, it depends upon the training program the participant is enrolled, faculty and institution. Course credit is obtained upon satisfactory completion of program/course requirements. Actual course credit depends on institutional policy and professor’s input. Students also receive a certificate of completion from AMA/Midstate College (joint certificate) and from the US training institution/organization.
AMA’s study tour training program, in partnership Midstate College is much more than merely getting university/college course credits, is so much more than just a US educational & training fieldtrip; it is much more than few weeks of fun, and much more than just experiencing different cultures.
This educational study training tour with AMA is so unique, and so mind-opening, that for most participants, it becomes a life-altering experience and a reference point for the rest of their lives.
When you participate in an AMA short-term or long-term study tour, you understand and become familiar with the American educational system and US business operations and mindset. You obtain high-level professional development; you experience the US business and social culture. You would expand your horizons; you would learn about and experience different cultures and customs. You experience first-hand and observe US business systems and practices.
